What are the biggest challenges Global Women Leaders face?

Kelly in Antarctica

I have witnessed leadership from awesome to awful …
all over the globe – on all 7 continents.  (Yes, even Antarctica!)

My name is Kelly Watkins, Founder and President of Expressive Concepts.  During my travels, I talk to business and professional women.  For 25 years, I have been asking women about their biggest professional challenges.

Do you think the answers vary, depending on location?

Interestingly, the answer is no.  The responses are similar, regardless of location.  From Kentucky to Kenya from Dubai to Dallas – professional women have identified two universal challenges.

What do you think those two challenges are?

The First Challenge is … How can they be more credible?

Women around the globe are asking – How can I be perceived as more credible?  How can I be a more effective leader?  They are saying …

  • I want to be heard and respected.
  • I want to feel confident and appear credible.
  • I  have skills, and I want opportunities to use them.
  • I want to feel more personally fulfilled.
  • I want to communicate better with fewer miscommunications & less stress.

Does that sound familiar?  Do you have the same objectives?  Or, do you have High Potential Women in your workforce who need development?  If so, we can help!

You may have heard the term “executive presence.”  At Expressive Concepts, we go beyond that to help you improve credibility and effectiveness as a leader.  In fact, I have even created a term for it – Executive Professionalism™!

As Founder and President of Expressive Concepts,  it is my mission to help you succeed and excel as a female leader in a global world.

As the world becomes smaller, business becomes more competitive. In order for any country to be financially strong and develop economically, it must develop all of its potential workforce and talent – not just the male half. If countries aren’t training and using their female talent, then they aren’t as competitive as they could be.

That doesn’t mean every woman (or every man) in the world must go to work. It means that women have expertise to share.  Any country not tapping into this vast resource will eventually fall behind. Why? Because there are other countries who are utilizing this additional talented pool of people.

We can help …

  • Executive Coaching (one-on-0ne)
  • Long-term customized training program
  • Seminar or Workshop
  • Virtual training
  • Keynote presentation

“You cannot begin to believe how many women have told me how right on
and perfect your talk was this month!  YOU ROCKED!!!

You kept my attention.  Your information was relevant and useful.”
– Bruce D, Integra Realty Resources

By the way, the Second Challenge is …

The second challenge that professional women share is how to create Work/Life Balance.  Today, there are many fancy terms for this concept, and many discussions about the topic.  In reality, perfect balance doesn’t exist.  So, what do we do?  We can acknowledge that the problem exists … and then strive to find the solution that works for each of us individually.

Thankfully, it is easier to work on the first challenge – and improve Executive Professionalism™. Find out here.
